Mokona is the creature who shares the girls journey to become Magic Knights. Mokona looks like a fluffy white marshmallow with bunny ears and a round red jewel on its forehead. It's hard to tell what exactly Mokona is, and the three girls never refer to, umh, it by a specific gender. In any case, the girls met Mokona along with Presea, to whom it was left in the care of by Clef, the first Cephiran the Knights encountered. It seems Mokona was entrusted to Clef by Emerode herself, the only one to know its real nature. Mokona hardly seems capable of being their guide: when they first encounter it, Mokona is wrecking havoc in Presea's dwelling. Hikaru and Mokona soon take a liking to each other, but Umi is impatient with its enigmatic behavior. Mokona does seem to enjoy popping up unexpectedly and teasing both she and Primera (MKR2), who are easy to annoy, and to act at random, with no real purpose but to have fun. Mokona is definitely more powerful than it appears at first glance: it can provide them with food, shelter, direction, and more by way of a magical beam that emanates from the jewel on its forehead. Mokona can also help provide them with powers by putting them in contact with Clef while they are on their journey, and it appears to know a lot more about Cephiro and their situation than it lets on. Not that Mokona can really tell them anything; all it says is Puu! Puu! Or when they're in danger, it narrows its eyes and barks PUUU! It shows only extremes of happiness and sadness, but for the most part hops around in blissful ignorance.

Mokona is the character who undergoes the most noticeable changes from manga to anime: in the anime second season it doesn't play a core role, it simply stands here and there playing with Umi and Primera. In manga season II his role is utterly changed, at the end he reveals himself as the creator of Cephiro and the whole universe, along with its rules and the Pillar system. It is also the creator of planet Earth. The Mashin turn out to have been under his orders since the beginning and he decides who the new Pillar is ought to be out of Hikaru and Eagle. The famous " Path of the Pillar" which the pretenders had to find in order to become Pillar was simply Mokona...through its mouth one can arrive to the site of the Pillar's Challenge but only the one who overcomes the Challenge and returns to Cephiro will become the new Pillar. Emerode knew it before leaving him to Clef in order to help Knights....Mokona was probably hoping for a better world created by seeing, feeling, and believing that the girls would be able to bring new rules into this world was what moved it to summon them again. Only the Creator can call  people from another world in a Pillar-less Cephiro. At the end, satisfied by Hikaru's decision to create a world based not on one's will but on everyone's, because the world belongs to all its inhabitants, as it has always wished, it departs to another dimension with the Mashins.

The Creator is basically Mokona with wings and its gem turned yellow.

Personal Interests:

Birthday, Blood Type, Age, etc.: Unknown
Comic profile:

Mokona is the mysterious creature that Clef left with Presea to give to the Magic Knights. All it can say is "Puu". It can use the gem on its forehead to create anything an adventurer could need (food, shelter, etc.) and it can function as a compass. Mokona's the only creature of its kind, and its greater purpose is unclear at this time. To look at its cheery face, one would think that there's nothing going on in Mokona's mind... that might very well be the case.

Comic profile (true form):

This Creator made not only Cephiro and its neighboring countries, but also Earth itself. He remained with the Mashin in another dimension until he was needed by the Magic Knights. It is said that his true powers are seen only when the jewel on his forehead glows yellow. No matter how eloquently he speaks at the end, it's still hard to take him too seriously as he still looks like a marshmallow!
