Zazu is the youngest crew member in the NSX, and being the charged responsible for its maintenance including all the mechas aboard, he's allowed on the command deck of the battleship. He wears a mostly green practical outfit which is in tune with his planet fashion and he usually hides his short dark brown hair under a big hat. He carries a pair of working glasses encircled around the hat. He has no magic powers and he doesn't seem to be a warrior of any sort, but his skills and competence are surely pretty useful when it comes to fixing battle mechas and to analyze those of the enemies.

He's surely enthusiastic about their mission, even if he probably doesn't really care for the goal of their task itself, Cephiro. He simply loves to watch the Mashins in action, and he's always ready to praise a good mecha, be it of Autozam's or of the enemy's. He also uses to analyze their structure and such, in order to give good hints to his admired commander while he's in battle with FTO. This latter is Zazu's first love, and it's said that he came along in the first place because he could have the chance to take good care of it. He actually handles FTO as if it were his baby. Despite his really young age and appearance Zazu is a skillful mechanic who makes his work with love and passion. When Eagle gets back with a damaged FTO he has to repair it after crying for a while over it.

His job is surely not too easy, considering how though are Autozam's enemies to defeat, and in the anime he had to fix his beloved mecha several times. He seems more concerned about FTO status than about his pilot well being, however, when the mecha blew up he burst in tears mainly for his commander. Zazu's looking for a girlfriend and he wants to meet cute girls. In the anime he was the first one to greet Hikaru when she woke up after being captured by Eagle. He even confectioned the outfit they made her wear, but in spite of all his efforts to gain attention, Hikaru didn't exactly fall for him. Zazu has funny expressions which make him an easy-going character, but he is gifted with a good intelligence and he's quick witted. He loves to tease and to be teased by Geo a lot, but indeed he deeply respects him and he's devoted to Eagle and their mission. He always helps them like a trustworthy boy, during battles he gets very serious about his inner backup role and he's very reliable.

Even though he's the youngest member of the NSX crew, Zazu is the top mechanic. His skills have pulled his crewmates out of numerous jams, as Zazu can fix just about anything. He signed on for this mission so that he could stay close to his favorite Mecha: Eagle's FTO. He loves an occasional drink and will take whatever he can get! Ladies, take note! He's currently on the lookout for a girlfriend.
